We'll explore establishing your digital writing identity and creating a weekly publishing routine online through the Hudson Valley Writers Center summer series
Thanks for sharing your experience about getting to read that older essay and to have Lisa and Noah in attendance. Lots of courage there and it sounds like it was rewarded.
I think it's interesting that you don't like to go back to past work. I recently went back to a piece I wrote at age 8 :)
You never know where material will shout its presence for a post.
Thank you, Melanie! Absolutely, it was so wonderful Noah was there and he even sat for the entire thing! I love hearing how you went back and read a piece from when you were 8. Looking back at those things, it almost feels like you're in conversation with yourself. It's funny, I think I'd rather read something that I have written as a kid rather than a piece from a few weeks ago.
You’re very welcome. Noah sounds very well behaved and supportive of you and your work always Chris.
It’s funny I used the 8-year-old me piece just as evidence that I was published at that age in my local paper in The Bronx in a Note and in my interview piece coming out tomorrow with another Substacker, and people actually read it from the image and asked to see the rest!
I’m comfortable with the kid me and the big kid me’s writing :)
That's so cool you were published in your paper at 8-years-old! That must have felt really rewarding as a kid. Well, I'm going to read your new piece right now. I can't wait! Absolutely!
Wishing you all the best with the workshop Chris!
Thanks, Jane!
